Topic 2 : My Career

I had several jobs in Japan such as medical clerk, office work, saleswoman, and so on. When I entered high school, I immediately started to two part time jobs to make money. At the time, I did not study at all but I tried to have social experiences. After I graduated from high school, I still did not know what I want to do in my life so I started working full time to make money.
    Even thought I've had different types of jobs in my career, my best job was a Japanese tutor at community college in the US. I know my language, but teaching was totally different. For instance, I've never thought how to use particles such as wa, ga, wo, and so on in Japanese because native speakers use them without thinking. When I saw students who study Japanese, I realized that the particles are hard to use for non-native speakers. After that, I had to think how to use the particles to explain for them and they noticed me more deeply about Japanese language. From the job, I could meet people from all over the world and I enjoyed interacting them. I am planning to take the Cbest and Cset and I hope I can pass both tests to teach Japanese in the US.

Hi, everyone :)
My name is Mayumi. I came in the US to study English. I like traveling, watching movies, hiking, and drinking. I like to go to other countries and I visited to Hong Kong, Philippine, Australia, Italy, England, Myanmar, and Hawaii. I am planning to go to Egypt to see my friends in fall. I really like to interact with others because I can learn lots of new cultures such as food, customs, and so on. I would like to talk to all my classmates. Please teach me about lots of new worlds.
